Hello and welcome to Class 2

Welcome to Class 2's 2023-2024 class page. Our vision in Class 2 is: 'learning, respecting and growing together as a whole school family'. Our values are: 'Friendship, respect, trust and truthfulness'.

Miss Deackes is the teacher in Class 2 for Year 5 and 6 and Miss Tetlow teaches Year 3 and 4 English and Maths. We have a few members of staff who also support and help out in Class 2: Miss Tippins (TA), Miss. Asher (1:1 TA), Mrs. Benton (1:1 TA), Mrs Moverley (TA) and Miss Daniels (SENCO).

We have children in Y3 ,4 ,5,and 6 in this class, and we like to work together and help each other; that's the great thing about our mixed aged class! However, all of our lessons are catered for our specific needs and year groups. On our class page, you will find a range of useful websites to support your learning for Maths and English, as well as '100 books to read before leaving Class 2'. Please also see our timetable to see what Class 2 are up to on a weekly basis and explore our overviews to see what skills we are learning each term.

Some of the Year 6 children wanted to share what it is like to be in Class 2:

"We are like a family. I like it in Class 2 as it's a small school so you can make lots of friends" - Martha Wooding (Year 6 - age 10)

"I like being in Class 2 because it makes you smarter, and people are really kind" - Lawson Moore (Year 6 - age 10).

"Class 2 have really nice teachers, I love the Maths especially! The children here are really friendly and supportive!" - Antonio Price (Year 6 - age 11).

"I love being in Class 2 because the teachers make learning fun by turning teaching into games and you learn lots. My favourite subject is English because I like writing narratives" - Waveney Leaver (Year 6 - age 10).
