    Outdoor breaktime

Dear Parents and Carers,

Ofsted Good GP ColourEverybody at Churcham Primary School is pleased to welcome you to our website and hope that you enjoy reading all about our wonderful school.

We are all very proud of our school and the community that we serve. Our school vision is that we nurture every child within a caring family environment. Every child is valued for their individuality and are encouraged to achieve their full potential. Children leave Churcham as independent and confident citizens of the world. We work collaboratively to ensure that all our children have access to a stimulating curriculum which supports their present understanding and broadens their horizons.

We are a community school, operated by Gloucestershire County Council, catering for children aged 4 – 11. Our school is situated in the village of Churcham, a short drive from Gloucester City. Our original school building was built in 1850. Our 2 classrooms and Acorns pre-school are housed in a separate teaching block. We have lovely grounds including; an outdoor learning area, adventure playground and trim trail and a large field complete with a football pitch.

We have an active; School Pupil Council and Outdoor Committee. Our Key Stage 2 children are active members of the committees. They organise events, raise funds for school and ensure that our grounds are well kept and always full of flowers. Children take part in a wide range of activities after school.

Churcham Primary School works in partnership with Ashleworth C of E Primary School.  We also belong to the established GloWMaTCH cluster; comprising of 6 small schools. Through this collaboration, our children take part in joint residentials, have access to gifted and talented sessions and a wide range of sporting activities.

We welcome volunteer and parent helpers into school and encourage parents to support their children’s learning at home.

We hope our website will give you a real feel for our school but we hope that you will be able to find the time to visit us and to see for yourself.

We look forward to welcoming you and your children into our school. Please contact me if you require any further information.

With very best wishes,

Michelle Kelly
